SCHOOL TRAIN.
IMPROVEMENT IN SERVICE. MINISTER'S ACTION APPRECIATED. A marked improvement in the morning train service about which complaints had been made was reported at ihe monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Hamilton Techni- 1 cal High School last night. The chairman, Mr S. B. Sims, presided. Also present were Messrs F. A. Snell, C. Nisbet, C. Champness, 11. B. Hall, W. Roth well. 13. H. Andrews, A. 11. Franks. Mrs S. B. Sims and the Principal, Mr W. Fraser. The Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. Sullivan, in a letter to ihe Board staled that the mailer was being investigated. The lime-keeping had been erratic owing to abnormal traffic and works which were being undertaken at. the. Huntly station. Remedial action would he, taken and Ihe Minister assured the Board that there would be no cause for complaint in tho future. In replv to a question Ihe Principal slated that, there had been a marked improvement in the services. It was decided to write to Ihe Minister thanking him for Ihe action lie had taken in the matter. A letter was received from the C.ordonfon Householders Committee stressing the urgent, need for assistance for the road transport of country pupils to secondary schools. The co-operation of tDo Board was sought to provide for the country pupils Ihe same opportunities as children living in town areas. It was decided to send a copy of the letter to the Director of Education.
