CHANGE OF DATES. PRESIDENT’S APPROVAL. (Spectal to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Sunday. At a meeting or the Waikato Central Agricultural Association the president, Mr J. S. Fisher, reported on the meeting of South Auckland associations at Morrlnsvllle recently, when It was agreed that Cambridge be allotted March 12 and 13 as dates for next year’s show. These dates will mark a change from Wednesday and Thursday to Friday and Saturday. The president felt that the association was making a forward move in altering its dates and an Increased gate would result. Efforts had been made to avoid clashing with other functions. The only other show on the same dates will be at Whangarei.
Mr Edgar James (secretary) reported that at the group conference a remit from Te Aroha was accepted that the advertising: or agricultural societies be handled by the Royal Society. Mr W. C. Wallace was Instructed to vote against the remit at the Auckland conference. A request Tor names or further suitable Judges of classes not governed by breed associations was received from the Royal society. Messrs H. E. Porritt and C. Meredith were selected as Judges or the light horse classes and Mr 11. P. Hewitt Judge of lorry classes. It was decided that Mr Geo. Harris arrange a list or suitable home industry Judges to be forwarded to the Royal Society. Mr W. C. Wallace was appointed to represent the Waikato Central Association at the Northern District Council’s annual conference at Auckland on June 5.
