The general progress of the town luring the year was reviewed by the retiring president at the annual meeting of the Otorohanga Chamber of Commerce. \ considerable increase in business h u) been handled by the Post and Telegraph Department and the Rail\vu> Department, and building permits for the last three vears had amounted to £2t.000. The erection of a new post office would 1)0 welcomed in the town as tho business had outgrown the facilities afforded b> the present building.
