enjoyable concert held. Members and friends of the South Auckland Caledonian Society were present at an enjoyable concert in the Winter Show Buildings on Saturday evening. There was a good attendance and the items were well received by an appreciative audience. The chieftain, Mr E. ,1. P. Trevena, presided. Following was the programme: Selections, Pipe Band; elocution. Misses Eddie Smith, Faye Trevena, Lois McKelvic and Rita Anderson; pianoforte solos, Miss Jessie McNicol; and mouth organ solos, Mr J. Kilburn; Highland dances, Misses Audrey Cameron, F. Taylor, Shirley Nelson; songs, Mr K. P. Fade; orchestral number, Mr A. McLachlan's orchestra. Dance music by Miss Grice's orchestra and PipeMajor S. Clothier. The accompanists were Mrs McLaehlan and Piper L. Cameron.
