ORPHANS’ CLUB.
MEETING AT MORRINSVILLE. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. MORRINSVILLE. Friday. Over 40 members were present ai the annual meeting of the Morrlnsville orphans' Club. Mr C. E. Jenkins, the retiring president, presided. The election of officers resulted:—■ President, Mr T. C. Seed; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. E- Hitchman, H. B. Brower, J. S. Caulfield, P. H. Clark and J. Lee; secretary, Mr G. P. Lee; treasurer, Mr D. Alexander; committee, Messrs- A. R. Mayo, F. H. Stretton, E. R. Strand, L. Echlin and G. Cooper; programme steward, Mr J. Lee; joint stewards, Messrs. I. Glynn and V. Redfern; hun. accompanists, Messrs. A. Gifford, G. Lee and E- D. Hebditch. Presentations were made to Mr Jenkins and the retiring secretary, Mr N. D. Chapman, who are leaving the district. ______
