A copyright message from Mr Hugh Rut Hedge, wirelessed from camp three, via Calcutta, states that Messrs rimy the, Oliver, Wigram and Gavin with eight picked porters, completed the route up the great ice face of the North Gol, cutting steps, and fixing ropes most of the way- The route is steep but reasonably safe from avalanches. Mr Wyn-Harris, Mr Kempson and 46 porters, have started for North Go.l and hoped to have camp four, at a height of 20,000 feet completely stocked to-morrow if possible. Messrs Smythe and Shipton will then occupy It accompanied -by the porters who have been selected to establish the highest camps. The weather is marvellously quiet, but there is rather too much snow on the mountain.
