OUR ANZAC SERVICE.
Dear Peter Pan.—Do you And penfriends In other countries, Peter? If you do would you And me one In FIJI, England, or China, wno is a girl, l* or 13 years old and is interested in sump collecting, please. On Anzac Day we went to the Te Awamutu Anzac service, which was held in the morning. When we arrived we went to Albert Park. Dad then went over to talk to some other returned soldiers. As It waa very cold Mum and the other members or our family walked up to the post omce. Soon we heard the band start and arter a while we could see the band coming around the corner. This was followed by the returned soldiers. Arter these came the girl guides, boy scouts and other people. They looked very nice. When they had reached the Regent Theatre they went In first and the crowd followed. Arter the service the people who had marched before marched round to the monument, where the wreaths were placed on the monument. Arter this we went home for dinner. Having had dinner we set out for Pirongla service. It started to rain when we had gone hair-way. There was not so large a crowd as there usually has been. By the time we got home it was cow time. —Blue Mountain (11) Te Rore. Will you write to Auntie Bep, c/o Peter Pan, about the pen-friend. Blue Mountain.
