A BIRTHDAY IN BED.
Dear Peter Pan,—l was so glad to see the answer to my letter this week. Hasn’t it been awful weather 7 My word, I think Jack Frost has arrived for all winter now. don’t you? Well, Peter you wouldn’t believe It, but I have spent all last week In bed and I can assure you that it was very dreary; even spending my birthday in bed. I’m sorry 1 didn’t tell you my age, but I was 14. I bad some presents given me. Aren’t the flower gardens beginning to look dreary; the lasting llowers In mine seem to be only bunnyheads, carnation, chrysanthemums and quite a lot or green bulbs poking their Leads up lazily arter their long sleep. I really wish you could see our passionfruit house Peter; your mouth would really water. When do the competitions start again, Peter. Even though I do not go in lor them I sit and puzzle them out.
