ORPHANS’ CLUB. At the Morrinsville Orphans’ Club’s an- 1 nual meeting on Wednesday opportunity was taken to bid farewell to the retiring president, Bro. C. E. Jenkins, who is leaving to reside in Auckland. The presentation of a book was made, the inside cover being autographed by all present. A presentation of a pair or motoring gloves and a pipe was made to Bro. N. P. Chapman, who is retiring from the position of secretary arter live years’ service. The following officers were elected: — President, Bro. T. C. Seed; vice-presidents, Bros. P. H. Clark, J. Lee, J. S. Caulfield, E. Hltchman and H. B. Drower; secretary, Bro. G. Lee; treasurer, Bro. D. Alexander; committee, Bros. A. R. Mayo, E. R. Strand, L. Echlln, G. Cooper and F. H. Stretton; joint stewards, Bros. 1. Glynn and V. Redlern; programme steward, Bro. J. Lee; accompanists, Bros. A. Gifford, G. Lee and E. T ). Hebdltch. Hospital Board. Mr w. Morrice, who has been deputyMayor of Morrinsville for the past five years, was selected by representatives of the Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Cambridge Borough Councils to 1111 the vacancy on Hie W aikato Hospital Board caused by the death of Mr H. Alaiv Bell, of Cambridge. A meeting was held at the Morrinsville Council Chambers, two nominations being received, those or Messrs G. Hedge, or Te Aroha, and W. Morrice, of Morrinsville.
