LACK OF MEMBERS. DAMIRIDGI ORPHANB’ OLUI. _. ' (Special to Times). CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Cambridge Orphans' Club was held on \\‘ednesday when the President, Bro. T. H. Hampshire, presided over a good attendance. Regret was expressed at the passing of Bros, U. G. L. Taylor and T. R. Wreynsli and motions of sympathy with the relatives were carried in silence. The report disclosed an active season \\'ith a membership of 33, one life member and ill orchestral members. Thanks were nreordod the Municipal Band and the uriive workers. The balance sheet showed a credit of £3 1‘25 9d. The president regretted that the membership was not more numerous and he urged—if the Club is to continue—that membership would have to be increased with greater interest. generally and eSpecislly in the interchange of visits. Bro. W. White said the Club had experienced had seasons and got through and he saw no reason why there should not be a stimulation of in- i tcrest in the coming session. He no- i ticed several old members present. Bro. W'. u. Care voiced similar sentiments. Future of club. Considerable discussion took place on the club functioningr this session. Bro. .\. U. Buyvu expressed the View that fresh iiilrnt “Ullld have to be obtained. lie was supported by Mr F. Kingsi‘ord. Ulher members spoke in favour of carrying on but it was decided by 10 votes to 7 to go into recess for this season, ‘
