Looks Well. Gay nose is reported to be looking exceptionally well and she will not lack support. for lier engagement in the \Vooristock Stakes to-nmi'l'uw. She ran Scotland to linlf—a—lengtli in the Autumn Handicap on the second day of the Mondale meeting and is susceptible to improvement. on that effort. Was Backed and Beaten. He appears among the list for both the Arapuni Handicap ('1 turlongsi and the concluding event the Hairini Haudlcap (1 mile). Leo Colossus. It is said- of Leo Colossus that 'he was unlucky to be beaten on the second day of the iHawera meeting when he finished in the money on both days. Yesterday at Te Rana he was sprinted down the straight and hit out 'boldly. It is in his favour that he is looking improved as the result of recent. racing,r and he may make amends io—morrow. F.,Tuichen's “iron horse" will not be neglected in the betting lists. He thrives on racing.

Rucowhlp. Among the local Jumpers engaged in the Hack Hurdles at Te Awamutu to-morrow is A. Winder‘s representative, llacewhip. A disappointment so far in this department Racewhip has been showing improved form over the schooling hurdles at. Te Rana of late and it, should come as no surprise if he makes amends to-morl‘Ow for dis—appointments of the past. He is looking lit. and well enough for the part. Lucldua. Diacquedoon. Dlacquedoon has shaped most disappointingly in his last couple of esays of the big country at Te Rapa, the post and rails approaching the back of the course proving his Waterloo on Tuesday and again yesterday morning. Yesterday, after he had fallen at the obstacle, he was remounted and managed to scramble •over and at the following obstacle, the brush, he jumped with complete lack of confidence. He may go better in the Hack and Hunters’ Steeples tomorrow at Te Awamutu but he will have to be taken on trust. Prior to Tuesday his exhibitions held promise of better things.
