Press messages from Geneva report that a. communication has been received by the League Secretariat from the ltalian Government, renewing its allegations regarding the supply to lEthiopia of dum-dum bullets. In a written answer to a question ‘in the House of Commons. the Foreign ‘Secretary said: “I wish to state in the most categorical manner that all allegations that British ilrms exported LXpIOSIVe or illegal ammunition to the Abyssinian Government for military purposes are entirely unfounded." It is stated in London that if the allegations are renewed at Lieneva, the British Government, which has already replied on a previous charge to this effect. will furnish a detailed rejoinder, which will dispose of the allegations en‘ectively and finally. The Addls Abaha correspondent of the Daily Mail says the Italians are rapidly extending their military occupation ot' Abyssinla and new claim tlrm possession of the whole country as far north as the 12th. parallel from the Sudan and French Somaliland. Every village has been garrisoned and the territory has been covered with a network of good roads. Troops are moving south from Lake Tsana and west from Desste. extending the occupation to the 10th. parallel which, it is declared, will be completed in a few days. After that .\larshal Badogllo intends to push forward into the south—western corner of Ahysslnia—thc only area not yet. penetrated.
