MISSING BROTHERS.

There was a sensational develop—ment in connection with the llawkes Bury River launch mystery this afternoon when word came from Broken Hill that the missing brothers, Messrs Harold and Allan Thompson, had been located there by Inspector Elliott, of the police. who is personally acquainted with Mr Harold Tompson. a solicitor. Inspector Elliott formerly was stationed at Parramaita, which is the brothers‘ home town. He had read in the local newspapers of the men’s disappearance and the discovery of their damaged launch. The inspector immediately communicated with the Criminal investigation Department. Sydney, and was instructed to get into touch with the ’l‘hompsons and ascertain the whole facts surrounding their visit to the distent centre of Broken ‘Hill. The police in Sydney have given instructions that the search for the men in the Hawkesbury district, which was intensified to—day, shall cease. Purramatta and the ‘Hawkesbury River lie to the north of Sydney. the latter being about 50 miles away, whereas Broken Ilili, where the two brothers are reported to have been located, is 925mi185toiho west of the New South \Vales capital.
