RED SHADOW
DEEPENING IN FRANCE. .._... THE MENAOE OF. COMMUNISM. .\IINISTnY OF THE MASSES. United Press Assn.——Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received May 13, 11.55 am.) LOXDON. May 12. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Mail says the Red shadow is deepening throughout France. The Communists 10—day announced that, whiie refusing to participate in the new Government, they will form an “ outside ministry of the masses," as there were 1,500,000 Communist votes cast at the election and the sup—port or 82 Communist Deputies is vital to the existence of the new Popular Front Government
This announcement is no idle boast. The movement appears to be the pre—lude to an attempt to form some kind of Soviet organisation. it is recalled that the situation ln France 10-day re~ sembles that of Russia in 1017. when [he Council of Depulies was created as a menacing force beside the provisional Government.
The Pal-ls correspondent of the Times says the Communists propose lo organise committees throughout the
uounfi‘y, which will he thinly-Vdisguised Soviets. .\I. Blum's friends may be driven to look to the Right for support.
