COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
FOR Mlls 8. J. SAGE. A very happy coming—of—age party was celebrated at, the residence of Mr and Mrs E. \V. Sage, at Ohaupo, re—cently, when their eldest daughter. Miss Sylvia Joyce Sage, attained her majority. Mrs Sage received her guests wearing a frock of blue unerushaible crepe 'brivsette with beige trimmings and Miss Joy-0e Sage was wearing white satin grano with silver lame fasgotin-g and a spray embroidered in silver on the skirt. A very happy evening was spent with dancing in the spacious lounge. which was tastefully arranged with bowls of autumn-tinted and white Chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. .\iuslcai and eloeutionai‘y items were very much appreciated. Novelty \Valtzes created much amusement and were keenly contested. Mr 'l‘. Pearson. after eulogistic references, proposed the toast. of the guest of the evening, which was warmly honoured. Miss Sage respond—ing. Mr F. Gillett proposed a toast to the host and hostess to which Mr Sage suitably replied. The birthday 'cake, which was beau—tifully decorated in White and silver. with the usual randles, was then rut.
H'Vlr‘vhe singing of "All'ld Lang Syne" brought £llO. Very pleasant evening to a close.
