SATURDAY’S PERFORMANCES. - (By ”Spoke.”) A pleasing feature of the cycle road race held by the Hamilton Amateur Athletiu Club on Saturday was the number of competitors in evidence whose performances augur well for the future. The race, which was over a course of 13.1: miles, started from the Hamilton East Post ()titce, followed the road to ’l‘umahere, across to .\tatangi, and tlnishing at, the llamilton East Post office. A field of ill competed and close finishes resulted. Only one second divided it. .lohuslon. who was tlrst, from B. Lttllil, the second man. B. Shaw, the third competitor to iinish. completed the distance four seconds later.
