FAREWELL EVENING.

FUNCTION AT WALTON. . A very enjoyable and successful evening was spent in the Walton Hall on Saturday, arranged by the Walton residents to bid farewell to Miss N. Moore, or the Walton school teaching stati'. Miss Moore has been teaching at Walton for a number of years and is leaving to be married early in June. She was presented with a beautiful clock. speeches being made by Mr Mellean, Mr Jamieson (headmaster or the school). Mrs Fromm and Mr Nlchol (chairman of the School Carnmittee), complimenting Miss Moore on her good work. Miss Moore suitably responded. thanking her many friends for their llindness to her while living at Walton. Dancing was the principal item of the evening, music being supplied by Mrs Shirley. A delicious supper was provided and the evenlng ended with musical honours.
