The increasing demand for useful farm horses was in evidence at, the Te Awamutu saleyards to—day, when Messrs Ualgety and Company ofiered .1 medium yartiing of horses to a good bench or buyers. No extra. heavy tirauglits were yarded. but gnod use—ful farm horses sold under bright competition. The top price was realised for a six-year bay gelding. broken to chains, which sold on account of Mr E. Bryan !.\rohena) for E“ 105. Mr \V. J. Nciison, of otoronanga. disposed or a six-year brown gelding, broken to chains. for £»’A3. while an aged bay gelding, on account 01' Mr J. H. Burns ('l‘e Awamutu) brought £42. The next price, £4O, was the figure paid for nn aged bay gelding on account of Mr W. Saunders (Bruntwood). Three horses sold at £3l were a four-year bay gelding, broken to chains, on account ot Mr \V. Saunders. an aged brown gelding on account oi’ Mr A. Form-the (Auckland), and a sevenv year-old grey mare on account of Mrs ill Brindle ’Xlangaplko). £29 ms was the price secured by Mr G. H. .\[aunder i thi Kilil) for a three~year-old brown mare.
