The members of the Australian Davis Cup team arriVed in Philadelphia to—day from Pittsburg and established their headquarters at the Germantown Cricket Chili’s ground, where they will remain until the matches with America start on May 30. Sproule informed a representative of the Australian Associated Press that the players are in their'best condition, but tired from travelling. Probably they will not start serious training routine until Tuesday.

The coming matches are considered to be the most Important in Interna—tional tennis contests played locally since France won the Davis Cup from America in 1927. A tremendous amount of interest has developed in advance. Receipts from sales of seats already exceed 8000 dollars, indicating that all the GSOO seats will be taken. in fact, plans haVe been made to enlarge the seating accommodation. The American team has established its headquarters at the Merton Cricket Club‘s grounds and will start training; immediately. On behalf of the American team You Hyn, with officials. met the Australians at the railway station and escorled them to Germantown.
