W'hen the New Zealand Jockey, K. Voitre, had re’turned to scale after his win on Donaster in the St. Leger Handicap on Saturday. he was handed a taxation notice and income tax return. The Commissioner of Taxes said 3esterday that the usual practice had been followed. The department did not enquire how long a visiting Jockey intended to stop. .\‘otices had been prepared for other inter-State jockeys in the event of their winning. \‘oitre took the matter philosophi‘cally. “if it is the usual thing it is all ‘i‘ightfi’ he said.
