WAIKATO WINTER SHOW. RECORD ENTRIES INDICATED. With all arrangements at a forward stage, and many new attractions promised, indications point to an entirely new standard of entertainment being established by this year‘s \Vaikato Winter Show, which will be omcially opened by the Prime Minister. the Right Hon. )1. J. Savage, on Tuesday afternoon, May '26. Entries in the competitive classes were scheduled to close to-day, and there is every prospect of the aggre~ gate entries reaching a new record. At the opening function an interesting feature will be the appearance of the Hamilton Technical High School orchestra, which will play selections. The orchestra comprises the followingz—Violins D. Hair, \\’. Harrison, H. Brockway. C. 'Champness, Jessie Clothier. F. Cornwall, D. Cummack. C. Fraser, Gwen Harris. Ci 0. Jones. Joan Luxton. Rona Tombs. L. \\'ait.; picolos. A. Gal]. L. Nisbei: drums. L. Bolton; triangles. .\i. Jenkins. K. Hamilton. Joan Hunter: tambourines. Helen Adams. Joy Fluff. Jean Sutherland; cornets. A. Galhraith. 1. Adams: trom—hone, K. Knight; piano. Jean Humor The orchestra will play under the direction of Miss Margaret Roe. ILRiAAI.
With an enlarged amusement area available. there will he many more attractions in this section this year. Among the sideshow entertainments there will be a big wheel. a fleet of power boats. merry-go-round. troupe or Hawaiian wingers. trapeze artists and contoi'iinnisls. a tPam of skaters who are comiim from Sydney specially for the‘ sham: and a troupe of physical culture experts.
