The second and concluding day of the Egmont Racing Club’s winter meeting was held to-day In overcast weather before a large attendance. The track was heavy. Won by a neck, with three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.17 2-5. DAVIDSON HANDICAP. Or £150; 1 mile and a distance. 4—4—SLIPPERY, 7.9 1 2—2—FRIESLAND, 8.5 2 1 I —PROSTRATION, 8.8 3 Scr.: Onewhetu, ReTresiher, Contact, Wlndsoreen. Won by hair a length, with two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.0. BOROUGH HANDICAP. Or £110; 7 Turs. 1 I —BOOMERANG, 9.1 1 2—2—FLAMMARTON, 9.9 2 B—B—GOLDEN RILL, 7.0 3 Also .started; Trouvaille, Hamarln, Royal Feast, Hunting Lady, Script, Red Fox. Won by a neck, with lour lengths between second and third. Time, 1.3 3 4-5. The Totalisutor. The totalisator handled £14,064 10s compared with £14,547 10s for eight races on the second day last year. The investments for the meeting amounted to £26,19 1 against £23,612 10s last year, an Increase or £2578 10s.
