CRIPPLED CHILDREN.
ASSISTANCE FROM HAMILTON. PUBLIC APPEAL TO BE MADE. A decision was made at tie meeting of the committee elected in Hamilton some time ago to consider the matter of raising funds for the Crippled Children’s Fund to make an appeal to the public of Hamilton. Mr \V. H. P»ul presided. Mr Paul stated that members of the committee had conferred with Auckland members and had had convincing evidence of the good work being done for the training of crippled children in trades. It was for the meeting to decide what was to be done in llamililton to assist the fund. It was the feeling of members present that the opportunity of assisting so worthy a cause should not be lost and it was finally resolved to make a direct appeal to the public for donalions. The appeal will extend from Monday, June *29. to Friday. July 3. It is hoped that the co-operation of various institutions and societies as well as Individuals will be forthcoming to make the appeal a success. The following special committee was elected to draw up a scheme for launching the appeal;—Messrs \Y. 11. Paul, 11. M. Hammond, E. M. Masters. E. C. Sare. Mesdames H. C. Ross and H. D. Cobb; convenor of women’s committee, Mrs H. C. Boss; general secretary, Mrs H. C. Ross; secretary ot women's committee, Mrs H. D. Coivfl.
