Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning .001 n. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .321 n. Total rainfall for May to date, i.561n. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 25.97in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL FORECAST. IBy Govt. Meteorologist-) The speolal forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley Is as follows: j Forecast: Moderate to strong southerly winds. Weather changeable at first with passing showers in places, but soon becoming line. Temperatures cold with some frosts to-night, but milder to-mor-row. Seas moderate to rather rough off shore. General Inference: A rather Intense anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand, but pressure is still relatively low off the East Cape. A fresh depression is located over the southwest Tasman Sea. j
