COMMITTEE MEETS. ..... RESURFACING OF GROUNDS. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. The monthly meeting ol‘ the committee of the Cambridge District Highfichool was held last evening. The chairman. Mr S. M. Ziman, presided and also present were Messrs H. E. Amyes, R. S.Ent\\'lstie (sec—retary). C. \V. \‘Ennell. F. H. Green. L. A. Potts and the headmaster, Mr J. G. Catran. The headmaster reported that at present the rolls were: Primary 376, secondary 82. The attendance at the primary department had been an‘ccted by chickenpox and measles. The buildings were in good order generally, but the repairs authorised last month had not yet been effected. Stair changes were: .\liss E. C. Lawes, assistant to \Vliangarel intermediate School; Miss A. Wallace, temporary assistant to Tnnealun. both will cease duties to-morrow.

In connection with the re-surfacing‘ or the playgrounds Mr H. E. Amyes reported that Mr T. Dixuhorough engineer, had In—spected the area a! the High School. and stated that the cost would be £37 105, it the Borough Council Carried out the work. it was recommendEG by Mr Dix that leuciers he called for the work. The chairman proposed that lenders be called for the spreading of six barrels oi’ (listar and six barrels of conlllx at the High School. The secretary has written to the Education Board for netails or Intermediate Schools to be tabled m. a special meeting lo discuss the advisabillly or establishing such a school in Cambridge. Two delegates from district SCIIO'I] committees and the headmaster have been‘ asked to attend the meeting on June 4. 11, was re~ ported that many of the country schools seemed in favour of the proposal. The headmaster was authorised to sup—ply hot cocoa to tile children (luringr the \vllnter term, and to regulate the milk supllY~
