The growing popularity of miniature rifle shooting was demonstrated at the opening shoot of the Hamilton Miniature Rifle Club last evening in the club rooms when there was a large attendance of members and visitors. In declaring the club open for the new season, the president, Mr A. A. McLean tendered a warm welcome to the visitors. .He expressed the hope that. sumnient interest would he shown by the ladies to form a separate club. in which case the facilities or the present. ‘r‘luh would he at their disposal“ Although the club hnd commenced operations late last season, said Mr McLean, there had been an average attendance of 33 and a feature of the season had been the fact that. the prizes had been very evenly distributed.
