Sir, —-We must thank the solicitous New Zealand Welfare League for its. : kindness on our behalf, but the point most noticeable in its campaign for the good of New Zealand is that no mention is made in its articles of the > shocking industrial conditions apper- ; taining throughout this country, and particularly in regard to girl and : women labour in hundreds of factories. The “Song of the Shirt” pales into insignificance when these conditions are looked into, and which will forever remain a blot upon the fair name ; of this country. If the New Zealand .
