MATUA WAIKATO REBEKAH LODGE. In spite of adverse weather there was a large gathering of officers, mem- ( bers and visiting members at the installation of “Matua Rebekah Lodge officers recently. District Deputy Grand Master, .Bro. Queenin, and Deputy-Marshal assisted by Bro. Coulter, Grand Lodge representative, installed into their respective chairs the following officers: —N.G., Sister D. Allen; V.G., Sister M. Searle; Rec. Sec. Sister D. Miller; Tres., Sister T. Musgrove. The subordinate officers were duly installed. At the close of the meeting, D.D.G.M. Bro. Queenin presented on behalf of the Lodge, a Past Grand’s collar and jewel and certificate to Sister E. Jackson who had passed through the ohairs. Sister Jackson thanked the Lodge members for their gift. There were present members from various Lodges, Te Kootu (Cambridge), Rangi (Rotorua), Geyser (Rotorua), Star of Waikato and others.
After the meeting a supper and dance : was held, the music being supplied by ; Sister Savory (piano), 0. Short (vio- . lin), Bro. Howell (drums), Bros. Webster and Delacy acted as M’s.C* Among those present were:— Mesdames Webster, P.N.G., floral taffetas; J.P.G., Sister Bickett, petunia satin; Misses Howell, ivory angel skin; J. Watt (Cambridge), brown floral marocain; A. Rennie (Cambridge), navy crepe elaine; Caley (Cambridge), emerald wool lace; 11. Searle, ivory satin beaute; J. Jackson, moss green crepe faille; G. Snowdon, geranium marocain; Leich, pale blue crepe Leger; A. Monds, midnight blue crepe de chine; J. Coulter, royal blifb satin; Watson, sprigged navy crepe; Tenderson, black marocain; I. Savory, pale coral taffetas; Dalbeth, midnight blue floral silk. Misses M. Bogue, nil green ninon; D. Irving, floral voile ; Webster, brown and tangerine marocain; U. Beokett, apricot crepe de chine; D. Miller, black flowered ninon; M. Traill, blue Russian •suit; D. Allen, Marina blue net and silver lame; L. Whelan, cornflower crepe; T. Musgrove, powder blue marocain; J. Watson, magnolia taffetas; E. Jackson, P.N.G., peach floral ninon; T. D’Ath, lemon sprigged georgette.
