In his report the president referred‘ in the enthusiasm shown by all tn "1" augurating the society and to the sustained effort needed to complete the work. The association had been successful in gaining 255 members. of; whom 237 were tlnancial. .\lr \'osper‘ stated that the credit balance of ac-t I‘uunt-s was an indication not only of the success of the show. hut also 0! the efficiency or the organisation. It was considered that the draught and light horses sections. the Jersey cattle.i tat cattle, sheep and pig pens con-‘ tained the host exhibits. The districti courts were excellent. The president suggested that. as a momento of the first show at Putaruru, some of the better photographs should be enlarged and framed. and‘ that with the credit balance now at‘ the disposal of the committee. timber for permanent pens for sheep and pigs be purchased. In conclusion Mr \'osper expressed the society's debt to the.
