The third series of wool sales opened with an offering of 10,097 bales, including 4888 bales of Now Zealand, and 7947 tales were sold. Jordan may resign the Manukau seat and proceed to London a.s High Commissioner, the Labour Party is actively organising in the electorate. Frequent application of the closure will be the order in the House of Repj resentatives to-night as a result of ! the Opposition moving an amendment ! to the second reading motion of the Primary Products Marketing Bill. In a strongly-worded statement to-day the Prime Minister said they were going to get the bill through no matter what the Opposition might do. It meant they would have to use the closure.
