Prior to proceeding to London from Glamis Castle, the Duke and Duchess of York called at the village post office and registered the birth of Princess Margaret, who is the fourteenth on the register. If she had been registered within the statutory period of 21 days she would have been the thirteenth. The registrar is the' village grocer.
