PARAWERA SCHOOL.
ANNUAL CONCERT.
A very pleasant evening was spent at Parawera, when the annual concert was held. The hall was tastefully decorated, and the manner in which the seating accommodation- was taxed spoke volumes for the appreciation of the school’s efforts in previous years, nils year’s function was perhaps superior to earlier ones. The singing was very sweet, particularly the item “Hay Day,” contributed by the school choir, which, by the way, won the choir class at the Waikato Winter , Show. The spirited •hakas and graceful pois and hulas presented by the senior pupils were of a high standard, while an exhibition of Maori rhythmic games was loudly applauded. The concert reflected great credit upon the teachers and performers. It is understood it resulted in some £lO being placed to the credit of. the school fund.
