MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
SITTING AT RAGLAN.
BEFORE MR F. W. PLATTS, SAL A Maori named Rongo was charged that on August 9, he assaulted A. D. McCardle at Te Akau by striking him. McCardle- said defendant wanted to borrow money, and, when it was refused, struck him. The case had been brought to Court in order to save further trouble on the Te Akau estate. Defendant was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months. He was also ordered to pay 15s costs, and was allowed two weeks to pay. 1 Without a License. Robert Percy McLaren was charged I with a breach of the Motor VehicleAct, on July 17, by driving a motor j cycle without a license. Defendant did not appear, and wrote i admitting the offence. lie was, convioted and ordered to pay costs 15s. Judgment Summons. J. K. Weir v. Tai Maru, claim for £l9 18s. —Order for payment of £1 per month. Rupa v. Ivaliu, cairn £3O 13s. — Order for payment forthwith,' to be suspended as long as £3 per month is paid, in default month’s imprisonment. ■
