OBITUARY.
MRS A. INGS. The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital of Emma, the wife of Mr Alfred Ings, an early settler"- of the Otewa district. The late Mrs Ings was only 33 years of age, and leaves a husband and four young children to mourn her passing. She had made herself very popular in the district. MAORI CHIEFTAINESS PASSES. ROTORUA, Wednesday. ' The death has occurred at Ohinemutu of Te Ririu, a chieftainess of the Ngatiwhakane tribe aged 70. A tangi is being held in the meeting house “Tamatekapua.” The death has also occurred of Matuha Enoka, of Awhata, mother of Guide Rangi, of Whakarewarewa. MR. D. S. BEDINGFIELD. (By Telegranh—,Prp«s Association.) ELTHAM, Wednesday.With only live weeks to the attainment of 100 years of age Mrs Mary Ann Catt died yesterday. Born in Sussex, England, on November 10, 1830, Mrs Catt came to New Zealand 75 years ago. MR JAMES SEYMOUR. LONDON, October 1. The death has occurred of Mr 1 James Seymour, the former Kent cricketer.
