MILITARY TRAIWING.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In answer to "Ex-Soldier’s harangue re cancellation of camps, any state of preparedness is -better than none. His blather about "soft collars and many-hued tics" is ridiculous. The New Zealand Expeditionary Force was drawn from everywhere, including “loungers”—and they made good, didn't they, "Ex-Soldier?" As for the uniform, it is identical with that worn •by the Imperial Army and the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and not a scmbianco. The type of youth to which “Eix-Soldier” refers will continue to drink and swear under the impression that they are men, whether the Territorial system is abolished or not. “Ex-Soldier" is judging the whole of the system by one-or two inefficient slackers. —I am, etc., OLE BILL.
