A Stinson monoplane, carrying a •crew of three, including the navigator Yancy, took off for Bermuda. A prize of £SOOO is offered for the Bermuda bight. The difficulty of navigating to the tiny island in the Atlantic has previously repelled aviators. Later advice states that Yancy has radioed that he alighted on a calm sea sixty miles north of Bermuda, where he will remain throughout the night and will resume the flight in the .morning. The fliers are in no danger.
