EX-SOLDIERS’ PENSIONS
REPORT OF COIVIIVIISSIOiM. SUBMITTED TO THE MINISTER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The publication of the report of Ihe Ex-Soldiers’ Rehabilitation Commission, bearing on the subject of economic pensions, tins been delayed, chicily owing to Ihe Minister of Defence, lion. j. G. Cobbo, being obliged to visit. Samoa. - The report covers 71 pages, and the recommendations of the Committee are of great importance, and if carried out in their entirety, will involve a large increase in expenditure by the Pensions Department, which has now submitted its report to lhe Minister. The recommendations are being considered, and later will be reported on by .the Repatriation Branch of the State Advances Department. As soon as the latter's report is received, tin matter will be considered by Cabinet, after which the report will be released for publication.
