SOCIAL EVENING

FIRST CHURCH LADIES’ GUILD. The First Church Ladies' Guild gave a social evening in the hall on Tuesday night. The programme, which was an exceedingly good one, was in the hands of Mrs. J. T. Wells. After supper and the singing of “ Auld Lang Syne,” the Rev. L. M. Rogers pronounced the Benediction. The proceeds which go towards the repairs to the paino, were quite satisfactory. Those contributing to the programme were: Pianoforte solo, Mr. E. Ewart; song, Miss M. Wallace; elocutionary item, Mr. McClymont; song, Mr. J. Ewart; saxophone solo, Jim Choat; song, (Miss Middlemiss; vocal duet, Miss J. Paterson and Mr. R. Kay; flute solo, Mr. E. Dyason; song, Mr. E. Ewart. The accompaniments were played by Miss Kay and Mr. Ewart.
