OTOROHANGA v. TE KUITI. The Otorohanga A cricket team visited Te Kuiti on Saturday and engaged the local railway team in the closing game of the season under the Maniapoto Cricket Association. Railway put up a total score of 176 for nine wickets, while Otorohanga made 36; all out. Although defeated on Saturday, it is more than likely that Otorohanga A team will win the championship on aggregate scores for the season, which are now being compiled. An Otorohanga team visited Kio Kio during the week-end and a sterling game resulted in a win for Otorohanga by 175 to 157. For Otorohanga, J. Corbett made 41; K. Cameron, 31; V. L. Fairbrother, 36; C. F. Fairbrother, 46. The best bowlers on the day, proved to be V. L. Fairbrother, K. Cameron and Bell, for Otorohanga, and B. Scown for Kio Kio. For Kio- Kio, the best scorers were L. Scown, 36; H. Carter, 28; D. Ross, 27; M. Frew, 20; G. Lissington, 13. The visitors were generously entertained at the homestead of Mr and Mrs Ross.
