SAVE THAT CORK
Old corks should not be thrown away. They can be put to a number of uses in the home. A cork over which a little rouge is sprinkled will remove scratches from glass. Rub the cork over the affected parts with a circular movement until the scratches disappear. A soft, dry cork will remove spots from wallpaper, (dare should be taken not Lo rub too hard, or the surface of the paper may be disturbed. Cut old corks into half-rounds, and stick with some strong adhesive Ic the backs of mirrors and at the corners of picture frames. If there is any dampness in the walls, the. cork will prevent it damaging the mirrors and pictures. A great deal of labour is saved when cleaning silver, aluminium, and so on, if the powder is applied with a cork.
