HOMING PIGEONS
HAffiILTON CLUB’S EVENT. The Hamilton Homing -Club contested a race from Ohakune, a distance of 110 miles. The event was for the second series of young birds and 09 birds from nine lofts competed. They were liberated by the stationmast-er at 11 o’clock. Following w T crc the resulls: R. Scott’s "Pica Dennis,” velocity 1175 yards per minute, 1; W. G. Pountney's “Young Bill,” 1155, .2; C. Mayes’ “Wingatui.” 1150, 3. Others in order were J. ; C. Hopkinson, 1146-15yds, C. Crahb, 1147yds, Green Bros, 1146.15yd5, A. Sharpe, 1146.13 yds, Ashton and Woodcock, 1142yds, E. Sutton 1135yds. Next week’s race will be from Hunterville.
