CROQUET.
PLAY AT FRANKTON. SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. The latest results of the play in the South Auckland championship competitions, now being decided on the Frankton Club’s lawns are as follows: Championship Singles. Mesdames Moore,’ 26, v. Hawken, 13; Dillicar, 26, v. Goldsbury, 23; Kibblewhite, 26, v. Meikle, 3; Hawken, 26, v. Bartlett, 22. The championship singles have reached an interesting stage. With two games yet. to play, Mrs Tucker is as yet unbeaten in Section A, while Mesdames Goldsbury and Belgrave are playing off for the winner of Section B. In the handicap singles, Mrs Kibblewhite is the winner of Section B, and plays with Hie winner of Section A, Mrs Coombes. Section C has yet to be decided. The tournament will conclude early in the week. THE CLAUDELANDS CLUB. GALA DAY RESULTS. On the Claudelands Croquet Club’s lawns on Saturday when a gala day was held in conjunction with the howling club the following were the results of the various competitions ; Progressive A :—Mrs Hodgkinson; Progressive B ; Mrs McMullin; Zig Zag and Clock, Mrs Mercer; Target, Mrs W. Fraser.
