CAMBRIDGE AUTUMN HORSE FAIR. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Lid., report having held their autumn horse fair in the Cambridge yards, when they offered 320 horses. There was a good attendance of buyers and a good demand for good, useful farm sorts, and competition. on medium and light draughts was keen. Aged horses and hacks and harness ponies were not wanted. Good unbroken draughts made from £l6 10s to £22, lighter sorts £5 to £9 10s, good young medium draughts, broken to all work £25 to £3B; heavy draughts, broken to all work, £22 to £39; light draughts £ll to £2O 10s, useful farm sorts £6 10s to £l3, hack and harness horses £lO to £ls, useful hacks £5 15s to £lO 10s. WAIHCU STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: At Waihou we penned an extra heavy yarding of sheep and cattle. Beef was a little lower than last week’s prices, and prices were not- as keen as at previous sales. The competition for calves was fair, and in most oases the vendors met the market. ’There was also a heavy yarding of fat, store and weaner pigs, 579 being yarded, and practically the whole yarding changed hands. Baconers averaged Cfd to 7d pel ib aad porkers averaged 7d per lb. Quotations: Sound-mouth ewes 12s 9d, fat ewes 13s 6d to 16s Od, cull ewes 7s 6d to 8s 7d, best lambs 12s 9d to 14s Id, culls 7s 3d to 8s 7d, fat cows, heavy £8 2s 6d to £9 ss, lighter £6 to £7 12s Gd, forward cows £4 10s to £5 10s, store cows £2 5s to £3 15s, Shorthorn steers calves £3 4s to £4 10s, .Jersey heifer calves, best £3 9s to £4 ss, others £2 11s to £3 2s, potter bulls £3 15s to £6. Pigs: Heavy baconers £4 5s to £4 10s, medium £3 16s to £4 2s, light £3 8s to £3 12s, heavy porkers £3 3s to £3 Bs, light porkers £2 10s to £2 15s, stores 33s to 38s, slips 23s to 30s, weaners 10s to 18s.
