LOCAL OBSERVATIONS. Miss Budd, manager of the optician business in the estate of the late Mr J. Bremner, supplies the following observations on the weather:— Sarometer. Monday 30.35 Thermometer. Max. Min. Monday 69-00 40.00 Barometer is still very high and has very little movement. Indications are for continued fair weather to-day and to-morrow, with higher temperature and variable winds. Mean temperature 54.3 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for northerly moderate winds, freshening. There is a prospect of fair weather, with increasing haze and cloudiness later. The barometer is falling slowly.
