HOCKEY.
PIAKO ASSOCIATION. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Piako Hockey Association was held in Morrinsvilie. Mr J. M. Thompson presided. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr 3. Harvey; president, Mr J. M. Thompson, vice-presidents, DrW. R. Lawrence, Revs. F. Gardner Brown, G. Weeden, Messrs E. Snell, J. B. Steele and A- Ward; hon secretary and treasurer, Mr E. MunnBrown; hon. auditor, Mr L. Osborne; delegates to Auckland Hockey Association, Messrs L. C. Kent and R. Avery; delegates to Auckland Ladies’ Association, Miss E. Simpson. It was proposed to commence the season on the first Saturday in May. The draw' will be decided at a meeting on April 24. Votes of sympathy were passed with Mrs .T. E. Fitt, Mrs C. A. Pryor and Mrs J. Verner.
