VISIT FROM ROTORUA SCHOOL.
CRICKET AND TENNIS TEAMS. The annual cricket fixtures between the elevens of the Hamilton High School and the Rotorua High School were played in Hamilton yesterday afternoon and this morning. Two boys’ cricket teams, a girls’ cricket team and girls’ tennis teams made the journey, the games commencing yesterday and being concluded this morning. The cricket match between the first elevens of the two schools resulted in a draw in the local High School’s favour. The local team batted first and compiled 332, the visitors replying with 103 with the loss of eight wickets when stumps were drawn. Details: HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL. Rotorua batted first in the junior match and compiled 07, School replying with 98. Rotorua, in their second venture, were all out for 122. Games Among the Girls. The Rotorua High School girls -and Hie Hamilton High School girls played tennis matches yesterday afternoon, Hie local girls winning all 81 games played. This morning the girls’ cricket teams played a match on Seddon Park. The Hamilton girls batted first and compiled 85, the visitors being dismissed for 29.
