PLAY AT FRANKTON. SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. The championship events in connection with tlie South Auckland Ladies’ Croquet Club's annual tournament •were continued to-day under ideal weather conditions. Mosdames Pearce and Tucker, of Cambridge, and Mosdames Bartlett and Evans, of Hamilton, are playing for the final of the championship doubles title this afternoon. The following are Hie latest results up to the time of going to press:— Championship Singles. Mrs Belgrave 26 beat Mrs Coombes 1. Mrs Belgrave 26 beat Mrs Pearce 7. Mrs Goldsbury 26 beat Mrs Coombes 22. Championship Doubles. Mesdames Pearce and Tucker 26 beat Mesdames Meikle and llawken 17. Mesdames Goldsbury and Marginson 26 heat Mesdames Bartlett and Evans 21.

Mesdames Bartlett and Evans, of Hamilton, defeated Mesdames Pearce and Tucker, of Cambridge, by 26—6, thus gaining the doubles .championship.
