AUCKLAND WOOL SALE
A SMALL CATALOGUE. BIG DROP IN PRICES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The wool buyers’ limits at the third Auckland sale to-day, a catalogue of 15,761 bales, were fixed at [lie lowest level known in New Zealand for many years. The first bid for a line of crossbred fleece wool was sd, and that lot was knocked down at aid. Bidding was fairly steady at (he lower levels, and fairly keen when a large line of exceptional quality was offered. Striking a very rough average fleece wools seem to lie ranging from Gd lo 7d, against an average in February, 1929, of 12 l-3d. A feature was the comparatively small proportion passed in. Some big station lots were withdrawn before the sale commenced, blit of the catalogue submitted the bulk was disposed of. The quality of the wool was fairly rough.
