DRUNKEN MOTORIST.
SENT TO GAOL FOR MONTH. LOSES LICENSE FOR THREE YEARS. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. Following a statement by the magistrate, Mr Hunt, that he would have to send intoxicated drivers to gaol as it seemed the only way to check the prevalence of the offence, William Malcolm, aged 29, a taxi-driver, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment when he pleaded guilty tn an intoxication charge this morning. His driving license was cancelled for three years. . •
