TOO LITTLE STATESMANSHIP. WHERE BRITAIN SUFFERS. MR G. ILYRMSWO RTH'S OPINION. (Received March 27, 10.55 a.m.) VANCOUVER, March 26. Mr Geoffrey HarmsworLh, nephew of Lord Rothermere, who is visiting here, declares that the Old Country is suffering from too much politics and too little statesmanship, too much sell’ and party and too little country and Empire. The lack of appreciation of Empire opportunities predominates in the whole British public to-day. “An election in the Old Country, with Conservatives under Mr Stanley Baldwin, would mean an overwhelming victory for Socialism,” says Mr Harmsworth. lie believes that Britain and the Colonies must inevitably come to a realisation that economic salvation lies only in the adoption of an Empire trade policy.
